Hawaiian Ahi Tuna Poke (Stage 2)
INGREDIENTS:
  • - 1 pound Sashimi grade tuna, diced to 1/2 inch cubes
  • - 1 avocado, diced in 1/2 inch pieces
  • - 1 small onion, diced to 1/2 inch pieces
  • - 1 cucumber, peeled, seeded, diced into 1/4 inch pieces
  • - 1 1/2 Tablespoon reduced sodium soy sauce
  • - 2 teaspoons roasted sesame oil
  • - 1 Tablespoon sesame seeds
  • - 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • - 1-2 scallions, sliced

1. In a large bowl, add diced tuna, avocado, onion and cucumber

2. In a separate bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, sesame seeds and red pepper flakes (if using).

3. Pour mixture over tuna and vegetables. Gently mix together until thoroughly incorporated.

4. Garnish with scallions.
