Losing weight is not impossible. Millions of people have done it. But it’s no walk in the park either.

1. Your support system is limited

They may urge you to break away from your diet and exercise routine, unaware of how important this process is to you.

When you want to learn something new, odds are you’re like everyone else and turn to the internet for help and read up on all the free information at your disposal. There’s just one problem with this. That special diet that worked so well for one person online may not work well for you.

You may be putting the work in when it comes to your diet, but if the plan is not tailored to you, it may do more harm than good.

3. It’s easy to feel unmotivated

When you’re starting at square one, feeling intimidated and overwhelmed is normal. But sometimes, it consumes you, and you don’t even know where to begin. You could have a million thoughts racing through your head.

Losing sight of your goals is another reason people fail when trying to lose weight without any help from a professional trainer or food specialist. Setting SMART goals is the key to attaining success. This means your goals must be: specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely.

5. Self control can be an issue
