10 Foods You Should Be Eating

There's no one quick fix to balancing your perfect diet. However, there are a few especially nutritious foods that we love at 20/20, that can give you an even better nutrient intake:

 

1. Ground flax or chia

2. Apples

3. Oat bran

4. Berries

5. Salmon or tuna

6. Edamame

7. Dark, leafy greens (kale, spinach, etc.)

8. Sweet potato or pumpkin

9. Nuts (almonds, walnuts, peanuts, etc.)

10. High protein yogurt  (check the label for at least twice as much protein vs. carb!)

 

Adding these foods into your diet mix can help you achieve your weight loss, diabetic, heart health and other great nutrition goals! They are particularly dense in their nutrition vs. their total calories (what we call 'nutrient-dense').

Remember to talk to your dietitian about what foods are right for your body, your food tolerances/allergies, health conditions and your nutrition goals!
