Can anyone participate in the 20/20 Kids program?

The 20/20 Kids program is for children ages 7-17. Each child is pre-screened to make sure that this program is appropriate for the child. It is recommended for children entering the program to have a BMI (body mass index) greater than the 85% percentile to participate in the 20/20 Kids program. Your child’s pediatrician can help you to determine the qualifications for your child to enter the program.

How do you get started in 20/20 Kids?

You will be scheduled for a one-on-one meeting with our physician who oversees the program. This appointment includes a tour of the facilities, introduction to the instructors, and an overview of what your child can expect to learn and do in the following 12 weeks. Then, an initial assessment will be scheduled with our dedicated child counselor and physical assessment team to do the baseline testing. This process takes approximately 30 days. Once approved for the program, your child may begin the next session. You may call (425) 861-6218 to schedule your introductory meeting.

Does my insurance or flex spending account pay for the program?

If the program is recommended by your physician as a medical necessity, most insurance flex spending accounts will cover the cost. However, you should contact your provider.

Is 20/20 Kids only for PRO Sports Club members?

The 20/20 Kids program is conducted at PRO Sports Club in Bellevue, Washington and is open to everyone, regardless of membership. A temporary club membership is given to your child during their program enrollment.

What is the time commitment for this program?

20/20 Kids is 12 week program running five days per week. We require participants to be in attendance four days a week unless previous arrangements have been made (vacations, etc). While we understand that this is a big commitment, the key to your child's success is creating lifestyle habits with daily exercise and nutrition check-ins.

What is the class size?

This program is limited to 12 participants per 12 week session. We have two certified exercise professionals at all times, so that there is plenty of individual attention and encouragement. The classes are large enough to create a team environment, but small enough for personal attention to each child's needs.

How can we measure the success of this program and what happens afterward?

At the beginning of the program we conduct initial assessments, and midway through the program we will test again. At the end of the 12 weeks, each child will schedule an additional appointment with the assessment team to conduct final measurements and follow up with the physician. Post program evaluations are available with the assessment team and the physician to help keep your child on the right track. Upon completing 20/20 Kids, your child can participate in additional sessions if necessary or by choice. The trainers also help to encourage your child to get involved in sports that they enjoy, other exercise classes in the club or surrounding areas, as well as recreational teams and exercise events.
