“I had these 15 pounds I couldn’t get rid of after my second pregnancy and it was really bugging me,” admits Ulrike, who took up the 20/20/10 challenge. “According to the doctor, I wasn’t overweight. I just had too much fat and not enough lean body mass. I needed some guidance to motivate me to become regular in exercise, and I also wanted to learn more about nutrition because I was hooked on carbohydrates.”

Ulrike met with a 20/20 Lifestyles dietitian every week. “I’m pretty good at following rules,” says Irmler. “My dietitian was great. I was meal tracking. She gave me a calorie range and the foods to eat that week, along with suggestions for different meals. It wasn’t so much that I needed a radical lifestyle change, except for the exercise. I lost 17 pounds, and continued to lose weight even after the program was over by adhering to the same guidelines. I’ve become just much more conscious.

In terms of health and balance, it’s good to know and understand the principles I learned. I’m so happy to be 17 pounds lighter. I feel better. It gets me into the Club more often, and I was so happy with the personal training that I’ve continued to see my trainer every week.”
